It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Anna Alvarado Rivera, who passed away October 29, 2024 at the age of 70, surrounded by her loving family.

Anna was born November 15, 1953 in San Luis, Mexico to Zenaido and Julia Alvarado. At the age of eight years old she moved to Blythe, CA with her family. In 1970 she married Danny Rivera and had her daughter Annie in 1971, and in 1983 her son Mark Padilla was born. In between the birth of her children she worked out in the fields, worked as a waitress, and was a bartender at Rudy's bar for many years. Anna was a funny and outspoken person who loved to dance, play poker, and go to casinos. She also had a love for music and had a collection of over 1,000 records, tapes, and CDs to prove it.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents Zenaido and Julia Alvarado, brothers Ismael (Milo) and Alfonso Alvarado, nephews Artie and Tony Alvarado and nieces Ceci and Susie Alvarado.

She is survived by her children Annie Rivera and Mark Padilla, grandchildren Adriana Baca, Beto Baca, Anthony Rivera, Erica Baca, great-grandchildren Sophie Harris, Dominic Martinez, Cecilia Fulson, Romeo Fulson, Uriah Herrera and baby Anthony Rivera. She is also survived by her brother Carlos (Ernestine) Alvarado, sisters Carolina (Pete) Reyna, Lupe (Lazaro) Fernandez, and Julia Black, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rest in Peace Mom, we will love you and miss you forever.

Visitation for Anna will be held at Frye Chapel and Mortuary on Thursday, November 14th from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will also be held at Frye Chapel and Mortuary on Friday, November 15th at 10 a.m. with burial following at Palo Verde Cemetery.
