Anjela Maldonado-Anzures Koster
Anjela Maldonado-Anzures Koster, 71, of Blythe, CA, passed away on February 6, 2024. She was born on July 25, 1952 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Anjela was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter and friend.
Anjela had a vibrant personality and made friends wherever she went. Her infectious smile would light up any room. She had a passion for helping others and dedicated her time to various community organizations.
Anjela was a member of the Blythe Lions Club, where she served as a Lifetime Auxiliary Member and provided Chaplain services. She also volunteered at the VFW, her beloved church Spirit of Life Church, and the local homeless shelter.
Anjela is survived by her mother, Antonia Maldonado Anzures; six children, Cecilia Rodriguez (Rafael), Leopoldo Martinez III (Xochitl), Lisa Martinez, Rebecca Sandoval Velasco, Emiliano Castillo (Danielle) and Agustin Hernandez Jr. (Sofia); three sisters, Francisca Dominguez, Annie Martin and Tammy Little Martin; two brothers, Albert Anzures and Joe Walter; as well as 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren,
She was preceded in death by her father, Antonio George Anzures, two spouses, two brothers and four sisters.
Contributions in memory of Anjela can be made at the upcoming BBQ Lunch Fundraiser held in her honor. Curbside pickup will be at 682 El Parque Dr., Blythe, CA 92225 on Saturday, February 24th form 11:00a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
The Memorial service date is Saturday, March 23rd from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to honor Anjela's life at the Spirit of Life Church at 140 S. Willow in Blythe. A reception will be held after with light refreshments at the VFW located at 148 N. 1st St., Blythe, CA 92225. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Frye Chapel & Mortuary.
