Obituary

Anita Louise Sanchez, age 79, of Blythe California, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, November 1st, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on January 5th, 1939 in Claypool, Arizona to Victor and Anita Macias.

She spent her early childhood days in Claypool and attended George Washington Elementary school. She moved to Blythe during her teenage years and attended the High School up on the mesa. This is where she met the love of her life Pedro Sanchez. They were married for 61 years and blessed with 4 children.

She was a stay at home mom for several years until she started working at Palo Verde Unified School District. Her first job for the district was at Palo Verde High School then she finished her 30-year career at Appleby Elementary.  Her past time hobbies included crocheting blankets for her grandchildren and other family members, cooking for her family at gatherings and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her 4 children Gloria (Tommy) Copple, Pete (Catalina) Sanchez, Gilbert "Magoo" Sanchez, Esther Sanchez, Curt Coronado. Her siblings Maria Echnique, Dorthy Flores, Susie Gonzalez, Rosie Macias, Rachael Gutierrez, Mickie Bacon, Carlos Cardona and David Salcedo.

She is also survived by grandchildren Michael Sauceda, Tommy Jr. (Angela) Copple, Pete Sanchez III, Christina Sanchez, Ryan (Laura) Copple, Marty Herrera, Darien Herrera & Michael Sanchez. Great grandchildren Brennen, Tommy III, Logan, Damian & Aria Copple. Angelica, Anthony, Joseph & Dominic Sauceda.

She was preceded in death by her husband Pedro Sanchez; mother Anita Mendoza; father Victor Macias; and brother Charlie Campos.

Anita will be greatly missed and will always be in the hearts and memories of all who knew her. She will always be remembered for caring and helping her family and friends whenever they were in need.

On Friday November 9th, 2018 services will be held at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic church. Viewing at 8 am, Rosary at 9 am, Mass at 10 am and burial services following immediately at Palo Verde Cemetery.
