Angel Rubalcava Sr., age 69, a resident of Blythe, CA and formerly of Center, CO, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Blythe Post Acute following a long illness.
He was born on July 2, 1950 to Florencio Rubalcava and Tomasa Lujano in Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Angel and his family moved to the Palo Verde Valley many years ago when he began working for many years for Toshin Trading and Fisher Ranch as their Foreman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws.
Angel is survived by his wife, Diana; his son, Angel Jr. and daughter, Angela (Brian) Smallwood; his six grandchildren, Samantha, Alexis and Angel III Rubalcava, Drew and Braden Lawhorn, and Briley Smallwood; his two brothers, Fernando (Lillian) Aguirre and Antonio Aguirre; his five sisters, Maria (Martin) Gonzalez, Aurora (Frankie) Torrez, Irma (Santo) Benites, Lupita and Reyna Aguirre; and numerous other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.
A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Frye Chapel & Mortuary. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 10 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with burial services following at Palo Verde Cemetery.
