Obituary

Amadeo Tapia Jr., well known as 'Chacho', was a longtime resident of Blythe, California since 1969. He was born to Amadeo and Amalia Tapia. Amadeo was the second oldest of seven siblings, who now has joined his older brother Francisco Tapia (RIP).

Chacho was a Palo Verde High School graduate and was very well known for this work ethics. You may have remembered him at the Mesa 76 Truck Stop right after high school, Albertson's (Butcher Block), Morgans, the solar plant and CB Plumbing. He moved to Cathedral City where he continued working in the plumbing industry at Complete Mechanical for the past four years.

Amadeo made his new home in Cathedral City with his beautiful wife Edilia Smith Tapia. Due to a tragic car accident on September 25, 2021, Chacho has left us way too soon and unexpectedly.  He has left a great impact on many by his positive attitude, smile, and laughter, especially when he was out dancing.

He is survived by his wife, Edilia, his Mom and Dad, his children, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces, nephews and grandkids.

Love you and miss you forever!

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 10:00 am at Frye Chapel with burial following at Palo Verde Cemetery.  All are welcome to join.  The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
