Obituary

Alicia Suzuki de Trenholm was born in Obregón, Sonora on February 4th, 1945 to Jesus Suzuki and Maria Zamorano. She was the youngest of 9 children. Her family moved to Ensenada, Baja California when she was young and resided there until she moved to Rosarito, Baja California after getting married. Alicia had 4 children, María Alicia, Ricardo, Jorge, and Pedro.

Alicia was a widow from her first marriage when she met Robert "Bob" Trenholm in Rosarito in the late 80s. They fell in love and got married soon after. Bob got a job at Ironwood State Prison and moved to Blythe in the early 90's. One by one her kids followed along and all four of them moved their families to Blythe to be closer to her and have been here ever since.

If there was one thing that was important to her it was her family. She was very proud of the family she created and how tight knit they are. She always made sure to instill her family values on her kids and that they passed them down to her grandchildren as well. Alicia loved having grandchildren. It was her dream to have a house full of kids running around so it's a good thing she had 12 but her biggest joy was being able to enjoy her 5 great-grandchildren with a 6th one on the way.

She loved to go on family trips, especially if they involved some gambling and shopping. One of her sayings was "You can't take your money with you when you die." So she made sure to spend her hard earned money on things she loved to do with the people she loved the most. She was an adventurous woman who loved to go to new places. She got to visit Mickey at Disneyworld in Florida, go fishing in Alaska, and she even swam with the dolphins in Cancun.

Alicia was called by the lord on January 25th, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada due to ongoing health issues. She is now reunited with her grandson Jorge Vela Lee. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her 7 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sister Teresa Suzuki, her husband Bob Trenholm, her children María Alicia Lee Suzuki, Ricardo (Francis) Lee Suzuki, Jorge (Ofelia) Lee Suzuki, and Pedro (Rosario "Chayo") Meza Suzuki, her 11 grandchildren Anna (David) Anciso, Ricardo Lee, Jorge Lee, Georgina Lee, Katherine Meza, Alberto (Irene) Lee, Jonathan Lee, Pedro Meza Jr, Alejandro Lee, Arianna Lee, and Zaira Meza, her 5 great-grandchildren Cali Anciso, Daniel Medina, Julius Flores, Benny Anciso, and Leelonie Flores, and her sixth on the way Baby Lee, her soon to be grandchildren in law Jaime Peña, Breana Martinez, and Jose Flores along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Saturday February 4th at 10am.
