Alfonso Hernandez III, 51, of Blythe, passed away on July 26, 2026 in Rancho Mirage.

Viewing will be 9am - 11am on August 8, 2026 at Frye Chapel in Blythe.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Frye Chapel. The Celebration of Life will follow 2pm at the VFW Hall.

Alfonso Hernandez III was born in Blythe, California to Mary and Alfonso Hernandez Jr. on May 23,1975. He graduated from Palo Verde High School and Universal Technical Institute. He married Rebecca DeLao on July 25, 1998 at Zion Lutheran Church in Blythe, CA. He worked as a mechanic for Palo Verde Unified School District, Palo Verde Irrigation and ADOT for 30 years. He was involved in Calvary Chapel. He received his ASE certification in 2017.

Alfonso is preceded in death by Eric Michael Hernandez, Alfonso Hernandez Sr, Guadalupe Hernandez, Lillian Hernandez, Presciliana Garcia, Helen Robles, Kenny Robles, Carmen Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez Jr., Susanna Cota Garcia and Evelyn Elms.

Alfonso is survived by Alfonso Eric Hernandez IV, Bryan Gee Hernandez, Alonzo Christopher Hernandez, Danny Garcia, Erica Hernandez Stewart, Mary and Alfonso Hernandez Jr and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and grandfather (Pedro Garcia).
