Obituary

Alexander Lenard Quiroz Jr., 44, passed away peacefully with family by his side on August 9, 2023.

Alex was born February 9, 1979, in Blythe, California to Karen Deere and Alexander Lenard Quiroz Sr. Alex was the first born of both parents and was so loved by both.

Alex was the oldest of 5 kids. He had 4 siblings, Keely, Anson, Austin, and Aaron. His siblings meant the most to him.

In 1997, Alex graduated from Palo Verde High School, where he spent his high school years playing football and competing in wrestling. He even became the varsity football team captain. Many at that time knew him by "Parker". After high school, he began taking classes at the College of the Desert where he studied culinary arts.

He was a father of three children. Katelynn, his oldest child and only daughter, Xander, his first son, and Aiden, his baby. He loved his children and they will forever cherish the memories they have with him.

Alex was well known around the community, whether it be for his dedication to his landscaping business, or because he was just another friendly face in the neighborhood. His inviting personality allowed him to have friends of all backgrounds.

Alex enjoyed working outside, watching the Green Bay Packers, and cooking. He showed his love through his food and you would know how much he loved you by how full your stomach was.

Alex is survived by his children: Katelynn, Xander, and Aiden; parents: Karen Brogen and Alex Quiroz Sr; aunts and uncles: Jeanie(Jimmy), Gayle(Gilbert), Bubba(Donald), Bo, and Robert; and siblings: Keely(Juan), Anson, Austin, and Aaron; his fiancee: Heather; the mother of his two oldest kids: Mary; two nephews: Legend and Royal; and many, many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandma Bonnie Jean Deere, grandpa EJ Deere, and grandpa Arturo Epifanio Rodriguez Quiroz.

Alex will be remembered for his contagious laugh and a smile that would light up any room he was in. He will be extremely missed by all of his family, friends, and loved ones.
