In Loving Memory of Alejandro "Jando" Navarro

July 14, 1968 – July 3, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alejandro "Jando" Navarro, who entered eternal rest on July 3, 2026, at the age of 57.

Born on July 14, 1968, in Yuma, Arizona, Jando lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to his community. He proudly graduated with the awesome Class of 1986 and married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Rosie in 1987. Together they built a beautiful life and raised two sons, Alex and Christopher, who were the pride and joy of his life.

From a young age, Jando had a deep love and passion for sports. During his high school years, he ran cross country and played basketball, developing the competitive spirit and love for athletics that would stay with him throughout his life.

Jando dedicated his career to serving his community. He worked for PVID from 1996 to 2007 before continuing his service with the City of Blythe as a Wastewater Operator from 2007 until 2026.

He was a man with a heart for helping others.  He coached soccer and basketball and volunteered with Blythe PAL for over 10 years, making a lasting impact on the lives of many young people.

For many years, Jando faithfully served his church and community. Fourteen of those years, he taught Confirmation classes through the church's youth ministry. He loved sharing his faith with his students and especially cherished the annual retreats to Big Bear, where he could laugh, teach, and grow alongside the youth while doing the work of the Lord.

Jando was also an avid sports fan. He proudly cheered for his favorite teams: the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Chargers, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Later in life, he discovered a passion for golf, which quickly became one of his favorite pastimes.

Above all else, Jando was a devoted husband, loving father, papa, mentor, and friend. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his beloved grandchildren: Audrina, Jayden and baby Christopher. He treasured every moment spent with them and was proud to watch them grow and create lasting memories together.

Jando's kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith touched countless lives, and his legacy of love, service, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He never met a stranger and always made time for others, offering guidance, encouragement, and a helping hand whenever it was needed.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that he has been welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord. Jando's memory will forever be a blessing, and he will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Rosie; his sons, Alex and Christopher; his daughters, Diana and Aryanah; his cherished grandchildren, Audrina, Jayden, and Christopher; and countless family members, friends, students, and community members whose lives were forever touched by his love and kindness.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
