Agapito H. Godinez, 70, passed away on July 2, 2020, surrounded by his family in Blythe, CA.

A combined service (with his daughter) is scheduled for Thursday, July 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Frye Chapel.  Both will be laid to rest following the services at Palo Verde Cemetery.

He was born September 20, 1949 in La Colonia Esperanza, Chihuahua, Mexico to Florencio and Vicenta Godinez.

Agapito arrived in Ripley, CA with his father in 1968. They were later joined by his mother and siblings.

He, along with his family, worked in local agriculture. They traveled to Hollister, CA to harvest walnut and other horticulture. The family in their early years would travel to their home town every summer.

Agapito and his wife, Isabel, had one child, Olivia Godinez.

His interests included family, playing the slots and after retiring visiting family and friends.

Agapito is survived by his wife Isabel, grandchildren David Godinez, Elodia, Luis and Alex Lopez. Siblings Susana (Juan) Ojeda, Maria (Miguel) Luna, Jose (Velia) and Leon (Adela) Godinez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Pulencho, Enrique, and Hortencia G. Escobedo.
