Connie Jo Oney, 70, passed away August 7, 2014 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born July 18, 1944 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Dean and Vera Devereaux.
Connie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the outdoors and especially loved animals. Some of her favorite hobbies included quilting, photography and traveling. She also loved to shop thrift stores with her close friends Diva, Sharon and Patty.

Although they grew apart and met and married different people, they reconnected 53 years later and finally married. On the day of their wedding, Connie wore the same necklace Richard had given her when they were 10 years old. He had waited his whole life for her.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Oney; her children, Barbie (Scott) Pendagrass, Cliff (Shannon) Allen, Clint (Amy) Allen; Carrie (George) Perez, Cindi (Charlie) Oney, Troy Oney and Scott (Eve) Oney; 12 grandchildren; her sisters, Caroline Ruggs and Joyce Tripp; as well as many friends.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
